Registration and General Information

Registration Information
Register Online (preferred method) or print alternate Registration Form for fax, mail, or emailed registration methods, as displayed on the form. If registering or purchasing more than one item online, select “continue shopping” after adding the first item to the shopping cart.

Full payment is required with completed registration form. A copy of an approved check request is acceptable when submitted with the printed registration form. No over-the-phone registrations.

Registration Confirmation
A registration confirmation will be emailed to all registered attendees. Please provide a valid email address.

Regular Registration Cut-off / Onsite Registration
All registrations received after May 29, 2019 will be processed as onsite registrations. Onsite registrants are welcome; A $50 onsite fee will apply.

Presentation Materials
Presentation materials are distributed electronically only. Printed materials will not be provided. Attendees will be emailed a link to the materials and are encouraged to download and/or print materials in advance for the sessions he/she plans to attend. Attendees may download materials until July 15, 2019. Wi-Fi access is not provided.

  • Materials for concurrent sessions will be posted on the CHIA website exclusively for registrants after May 30, 2019, as they become available.
  • Materials for pre-convention tutorials will be emailed to registrants

Certificate of Attendance (CEU)
This program is approved for continuing education units (CEUs) by AHIMA, AAPC and BRN. CEUs are based on contact hours. 30 minutes of attendance at an educational program equals .5 CEU. Registrants can earn up to 18 hours of continuing education during this program. Earn additional CEUs by attending a pre-convention tutorial.   • The convention CEU form will be included in the attendee bag. Registrants should utilize the form onsite and mark sessions attended.
  • The pre-convention tutorial CEU form will be emailed to the registrant following the event.

Program Changes
Presenter and topic lineups are subject to change without notice. Check the CHIA website for the current schedule.

CHIA occasionally uses photographs of program activities including participants in promotional print or electronic media. By virtue of your attendance, you agree to the usage of your image in such media.

Recording and/or videotaping educational sessions by attendees is prohibited.

Conference Attire
In June the weather may be warm during the daytime, cooler in the evenings. A light jacket may be needed. Due to variation in room temperature, we suggest you wear layered clothing during educational sessions to ensure your comfort.

Exhibit Hall
Admittance to the Exhibit Hall is limited to individuals and business firms who have contracted and paid for space assignments. No other person will be permitted access to the Exhibit Hall for the purpose of demonstrating their products, distributing advertising material, canvassing, soliciting orders, personnel recruitment, soliciting participation in unauthorized surveys, or for any other purpose. Violation will result in expulsion from the area.

Mothers and Fathers
Families are welcome at the CHIA Convention & Exhibit. We prefer that children not attend educational sessions, exhibits or social events. Thank you for your cooperation.
