The information on this website is available for the exclusive non-commercial use by CHIA attendees, potential CHIA attendees and/or CHIA approved exhibitors/vendors. Use of this data for commercial use (including but not limited to solicitation of any kind) is expressly prohibited without the written permission of CHIA. We are very pleased to welcome you as an exhibiting company at the upcoming 2020 Convention & Exhibit, which will be held at the Riverside Convention Center in Riverside, California on June 13 - 17, 2020, with Exhibits on June 14 - 16, 2020. This page is packed full of valuable information that will help you maximize your company’s participation and exposure at California’s HIM event of the year!

Benefits Included with Booth Space
Standard exhibit booths (8’ d x 10’ w) will be supplied and erected by CHIA’s show decorator, consisting of a draped background 8’ high, side rails 3’ high and a standard booth sign 7” x 44” showing company name and booth number. Each booth also includes:

  • Up to five booth company personnel badges, per booth space
  • General session admittance, for badge holders only or a 50% discount on a full education registration. A separate registration and/or special event tickets must be purchased separately if you plan to attend any concurrent track sessions or the Celebration Party.
  • CHIA Exhibitor Directory Listing
  • On-site Final Convention Program listing and mobile app (company description and website address)
  • Pre-registration mail list of registered convention attendees (will be emailed mid-May). List will not include phone numbers or email addresses.
  • Final registration mail list of all convention attendees (will be emailed 2 weeks post-show). List will not include phone numbers or email addresses.

CHIA Convention App
CHIA is excited to announce that our convention app will be returning for this year’s show. Stay tuned for more information and details on how to download the application.

Hotel room reservations at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells ***** CHIA has NOT contracted with any third-party companies to sell rooms from the convention room block. Please book your room direct and do not use any third-party to book your lodging.


Steele Tradeshow Services is the official show decorator/drayage for all your shipping and show materials needs. Please note, no other company has been authorized to access the show floor. Be aware of other unauthorized companies trying to hijack your booth materials!

Steele Tradeshow Services will email the pre-show contact directly in mid April to provided a unique password and login to access the online show kit, where you can order booth furniture, carpet, electricity and other show decorations, as well as arrange shipping logistics. For any questions regarding their ordering and shipping process, or if you did not receive the show kit email, visit Steele at https://steele.boomerecommerce.com, email servicedesk@steeletradeshows.com, or call (760) 360-7722.

If you are a previous CHIA Exhibitor and have used the Steele Tradeshow Services website, your previous log in information should still apply.

Set-Up & Installation
Exhibit Hall set-up is exclusively on Sunday, June 9 between 12:00pm - 5:00pm. All booths must be fully installed and ready for inspection by Sunday at 5:00pm.

Hall Hours
The exhibits will be open to registered attendees during the following times:

  • Sunday 6:00pm – 7:30pm (Welcome Reception will kick off the Convention in the hall)
  • Monday 8:00am – 9:00am (Continental breakfast will be served in the hall)
  • Monday 12:00pm – 2:00pm
  • Tuesday 8:00am – 9:00am; (Job Fair and continental breakfast will be served in the hall)
  • Tuesday 12:00pm – 2:00pm

Exhibit Dismantle
Removal of exhibits is scheduled for Tuesday from 2:00pm – 6:00pm. Travel plans need to be made accordingly.

On-site Exhibitor Show Meetings
Please have a company representative available to attend both exhibitor meetings.

  • Pre-Show Meeting on Sunday at 5:00pm - 5:45pm. This is a brief meeting held inside the Exhibit Hall for CHIA to distribute important show information and review everything that will be going on during the show.

  • Post-Show Meeting on Tuesday at 10:00am - 10:45am. This important wrap-up meeting is held inside the Exhibit Hall and will offer the first opportunity for the booth selection and sponsorship opportunities for next year’s Convention & Exhibit.


Welcome Reception Sunday (6:00pm - 7:30pm)
Join us to kick off the convention. Don’t miss the first opportunity to network with colleagues and engage with attendees. Light appetizers and beverages will be served at food and drinks stations throughout the hall. No host bar.

Job Fair Tuesday (8:00am - 9:00am)
Are you an exhibitor looking to fill open positions within your organization? Take part in the CHIA Job Fair and meet with potential candidates during this special session in the Exhibit Hall.

Exhibit Hall Game & Silent Exhibitor Prize Drawings Tuesday (12:00pm – 2:00pm)
The grand prize winner of CHIA’s Exhibit Hall Scavenger Hunt will be awarded. This session is the best opportunity for exhibitors to award any raffle prizes for games and/or drawings held in your exhibit booth. New this year, exhibitor prizes and drawings will be given out “silently” directly by the exhibitors.

Silent Auction Open during Exhibit Hall hours; Closes Tuesday at 1:30pm
This is a popular event at convention and participation is key to its continued success. Participate in this year’s Silent Auction and support the CHIA Scholarship programs by placing a bid or submitting an item using the Silent Auction Donation Form.

Exhibit Hall Lunch Cafe Monday-Tuesday (12:00pm – 2:00pm)
Need to grab a quick bite for lunch? Lunch, snacks, and beverages will be available for purchase in the Exhibit Hall.

Exhibit Hall Guest Passes
At your request, CHIA will provide each exhibitor with two Exhibit Hall Guest Passes at no charge (A $50 value per pass). This pass will allow a non-registered guest an opportunity to visit the Exhibit Hall during scheduled open sessions for one day. Please register your guests in advance by contacting CHIA. Additional passes will be available for $50 per person.


Company Description for Final Program Due April 19
Complete and submit the Exhibitor Program Description Form to provide CHIA with your company information for inclusion in the printed final Convention Program.

Advertising Commitment for Final Program Due April 30
Don’t forget to place your advertisement in the final Convention Program. Full and half page ads are available to exhibitors at a great price! If interested, please complete the On-site Convention Program Advertising Contract and submit by April 30, with camera-ready ad due by May 6.

Sponsorship Opportunities & Commitment Due January 31 for Preliminary Convention Program, Due April 30 for On-site Program Inclusion
Convention Sponsors receive many benefits including their company logo in the final program and on-site signage. Opportunities are still available from $500 to $5,000; a full listing and the sponsorship recognition levels can be found here. Complete the Convention Sponsorship Opportunities Form to submit your commitment today.

Exhibit Booth Personnel Badge List Due May 10
Complete and submit the Exhibit Booth Personnel Badge & Ticket Order Form to provide a complete listing of all expected company personnel who will be staffing your booth. You can also purchase special event tickets on this form (event tickets are not included with the booth space package, and must be purchased separately).

G/L Insurance Certificate Due May 10
A Certificate of Insurance, which represents at least $1,000,000 of general liability coverage, is required. Send your COI to Exhibit@CaliforniaHIA.org or mail to CHIA: 5055 E McKinley Ave, Fresno CA 93727.
