Join CHIA’s fifth annual Advanced Coding Workshop and learn from subject matter experts who will increase your knowledge and test your skills. Program Description
A three-hour live interactive session focused on ICD-10-CM challenges for coding and CDI professionals that will review guidelines and conventions (e.g., "with") along with COVID-19 and COVID-related diagnoses. The complex coding of respiratory failure as well as pneumonia will also be covered. Challenging case reviews and coding best practices will be included.

Gloryanne is also an AHIMA ICD-10- CM/PCS Trainer and an AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders) member. Currently she is an independent coding compliance consultant where she advises, guides and educates healthcare organizations, practices and professionals on clinical documentation improvement and compliant clinical coded data.

Victoria is an RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator), a Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), a Certified Coding Specialist Physician-Based (CCS-P) and an AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer with over 26 years of experience in the healthcare field. In her professional role, Victoria is the Founder of a coding, auditing and CDI company called Integrity Coding Solutions. Prior to starting her company, she was the Regional Director of Coding Audit and Education for a California-based integrated healthcare delivery system covering 21 facilities with 160+ coders and CDI staff. She specialized in providing the following: initial and on-going coding and CDI education, specialty-specific training, department presentations and one-on-one feedback to coding, CDI staff, physicians, local, regional and national leadership. Victoria is also an Adjunct Professor in coding at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, California.

Program Description
A three-hour live interactive session focused on helping coding professionals continue their journey of learning PCS by stressing decision making. Learn the facts to consider as you make a root operation determination to achieve the correct answer quickly and accurately. This program has the answers to commonly asked PCS coding questions.
The presentation will include a discussion of frequently requested topics about root operations and approaches, while using a variety of cases to reinforce the material. Cardiovascular and musculoskeletal examples and cases will be used, as we talk about root operations. This program uses real scenarios and explains the details that coding professionals need to know as they code.

Lynn Kuehn is a health care consultant with more than thirty-five years of experience in the industry. Ms. Kuehn has authored numerous publications for AHIMA including ICD-10-PCS: An Applied Approach 2021. She has served as faculty for the AHIMA Train-The-Trainer Academies for ICD-10-CM/PCS Coding and is the developer of the ICD-10-PCS Advanced Skills Workshops in partnership with AHIMA. Ms. Kuehn holds a Master of Science. degree in Health Services Administration from Cardinal Stritch University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Administration from Viterbo University. She is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), a Certified Coding Specialist for Physicians (CCS-P), and a Fellow of the American Health Information Management Association.

Program Description
This three-hour live interactive session will offer hands-on coding practice by reviewing challenging and problematic operative reports designed to advance coding skills associated with assigning codes with ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT and modifiers. Join this esteemed panel representing a variety of healthcare settings and years of experience coding. Attendees will break down operative reports and gain clinical understanding through highlighting key documentation elements that effect procedural coding. Applying coding concepts, utilizing case scenarios will assist Coding and CDI professionals in accurately assigning the correct codes and working effectively with clinicians. All code sets are being applied to these procedures making this advanced program beneficial to all inpatient and outpatient coding professionals.

PART 4: Advanced Inpatient Case Study and Review (Coding Practice)

Program Description
A three-hour live interactive session will provide the attendee with a review of multiple clinically challenging advanced inpatient ICD-10-CM coding scenarios. The session includes diverse clinical case studies for coding and CDI professionals to study and apply their knowledge, skills and understanding of the official guidelines. During this program there will be a review of a variety of clinical disease processes, anatomy and physiology with a deep dive into documentation analysis in addition to the appropriate code application. To help with advancing your clinical comprehesion and understanding of compliant querying, the attendees will determine the appropriate ICD-10-CM code(s) to assign and whether or not to query.
This program will include COVID and manifestion inpatient cases as a continuation of part one of this Advanced Coding Workshop. In addition, scenarios includ multiple acute and chronic conditions to examine and study to determine if a query is needed and select correct ICD-10-CM codes.
