HIA/HIT Program Grant

CHIA offers grants to health information administration (HIA) and health information technology (HIT) programs to support improvements in teaching and student learning and to help meet special needs of these programs. The amount of the grant is determined annually by the CHIA Board. The grant is funded through member and vendor partner donations to the CHIA Scholarship program.

The application process is easy. Program Directors should send the CHIA Executive Director a narrative application for the grant, utilizing no more than 750 words. Included in the application should be a clear, concise description of the HIA/HIT program, the number of students in the program, a description of any special needs that the program has and/or how the grant will be utilized to improve the teaching and/or student learning in the program.
