The CHIA Component Local Associations (CLAs) provide members with local access and representation and serve as an important forum for communicating issues and keeping members informed of local affairs that affect health information management. The boundaries follow the natural county boundary lines.

There are seven CLAs in California.

Greater Orange County Health Information Association (GOCHIA)
Inland Area Health Information Association (IAHIA)
North Coast Health Information Association (NCHIA)
Sierra Health Information Association (SHIA)
Southern California Health Information Association (SCHIA)
San Diego Health Information Association (SDHIA)
Sacramento Valley Health Information Association (SVHIA)
