About the Convention

The California Health Information Association (CHIA) has increased the knowledge base for its membership and other allied health care professionals for 60 years by developing and presenting educational programs on health information management topics.

House of Delegates
The House of Delegates meeting will commence at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2011. Association members who are not official Delegates are strongly urged to attend this annual corporate business meeting of the California Health Information Association. There is no charge. The annual corporate business meeting of the CHIA follows.

CHIA is pleased to offer a diverse array of exhibits that will showcase health information products and services. Most daytime food and beverages will be near the Exhibit Hall. Silent Auction
CHIA hosts a Silent Auction at the State Convention & Exhibit to support the CHIA Foundation for Active Members Education (FAME), the Scholarship Fund and the HIA/HIT Program Grants. This event has become a popular traditional event for convention attendees. The auction is made possible through generous donations from you... our CHIA members, Component Local Associations, CHIA Vendor partners, and others. For more details, Click Here. Each Silent Auction donation reservation received before June 1, 2011 will be posted on the CHIA Web site with the donor/sponsor’s name, a brief description of the item donated and estimated value.

Conference Attire
In June the weather will be warm during the daytime. During the evenings, a light jacket might be comfortable. Due to variation in room temperature, we suggest you wear layered clothing during education sessions to ensure your comfort.
