Legislative Developments and updates 2007 and beyond

The CHIA Legislation Committee is actively watching, analyzing and involved with the tracking hundreds of Assembly and Senate proposals, amendments, involving a multitude of health care issues. The task is to review each of the proposed regulations, determine what, if any, impact will affect health information professionals. All of the proposed California legislation is available on the Internet. Watch for new proposals, bills signed into law. The CHIA Legislation Committee and Robert Powell, J.D., CHIA Legislative Advocate, have provided information and links about the ongoing legislation that impacts health care on this web site.
