CHIA members are appointed to represent CHIA to various allied or affiliated external organizations. They participate in meetings, task forces or other activities. They keep the CHIA Board of Directors and membership appraised of affiliated organization activities.

The CHIA Board makes industry liaison appointments when deemed beneficial to CHIA membership and CHIA purposes. Additionally, appointments may be made when an appointment is deemed primarily beneficial to the allied health care organization(s). Industry liaisons may be appointed by the external organization or by California regulation.
