Responsibilities:
• Creating hospital disease and procedure indices by coding and abstracting pertinent data
• Provides diagnostic and procedural information to the Business Office
Requirements:
• AHIMA certification as an RHIT or CCS
• 1 year experience in ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding in acute hospital setting
• Experience using a computerized abstracting system
PIH offers a $7.00 shift differential and a salary of $50,000 – $72,000
